Unlimited drink mixing, cocktail drinking, strobe lights and upbeat music playing through not-so-portable speakers, my 15th birthday party was without a doubt, the best celebration I've had. My school friends, cousins from both sides of the family and friends from my swimming team were all there and made the celebration a whole lot more special. It was all so wonderful, I could've just died right there from too much happiness. Okay, maybe that's stretching the taffy a bit, but...you know what I mean.
Most of my cousins were there. Only 'most' of them, because the other three live in America. (Miss you guys!)
And, I imagine that if the party wasn't held on the weekend before exams, my other friends from school would've been able to make it. Oh well, it's all good!
One of the most amazing gifts I have received that day was from my aunt. It was a whole box of cupcakes from Desserts In The Sky (I think?) Though I regret to say we weren't able to finish eating it all- and it went to waste. But hey, my party had TONS of cupcakes. If you weren't sipping on juice and soda infused cocktails or eating sushi from the buffet tables, you were gushing over the cupcakes.
The party was held in our house's latest extension- the garden. At night. Imagine twinkling fairy lights put around the branches of the trees, and paper lanterns in attractive colors adding a bit of decoration to the open-air setting.
The party planning- from the banners, to ordering paper lanterns from Manila to the cupcakes and even the DIY alcohol free cocktails stand- was all my mom's doing. She started scouring online for decorations and ideas around August last year. She was literally the backbone of the entire event, being a party planner and my mom at the same time. And to that, I'd like to say, THANKS MOM!
I'll upload the pictures when I can, if I can. Hopefully. But that's that for this post!
Thanks for dropping by!
